Cultural Explorers
Did you know that Avignon residents aged 5 to 80 can join the Cultural Explorers to discover the city’s rich cultural heritage?
The scheme offers one free cultural outing a month, to be chosen from ten activities to suit all tastes and schedules: festivals, theatre, dance, exhibitions, cinema, libraries, shows for young audiences, music, workshops or picnics. Outings can take place during the day, in the evening, during the week or at the weekend. Activities take place in a variety of cultural venues in and around Avignon, including museums, theatres, public spaces, heritage sites and galleries. The programme is open to anyone interested in discovering art and culture, meeting artists and sharing experiences with other participants. The initiative began in January 2025 and will continue with a new edition in January 2026.
