Description
Since 2022, through the “C'est pas du luxe!” Festival, the Collection Lambert has been building a community of citizens that brings together residents of boarding houses, people facing life challenges, social workers, artists, and museum staff.
In 2026, the collective invited Émilie Rousset, Louise Hémon, and Sarah Maeght to explore the concept of family(ies) through the lens of where the participants live: boarding houses. Over the course of several months, workshops and visits fueled a collaborative research project centered on three questions: forming a group, inhabiting a space, and making one’s voice heard.
This process gave rise to two new works: *Écho*, a textual installation based on conversations recorded in the boarding houses, and *Zéphyr*, a video installation in which the collective confronts the wind at the Boulbon quarry. These works engage in a dialogue with a selection of pieces from the Lambert Collection chosen by the collective’s members. The exhibition thus becomes a space where life stories, imaginations, and works of art intersect.
Opening Day, Friday, September 25:
4:00–5:00 p.m.: Screening and discussion of Pauline Bastard’s film *Expert Esthétique* at the Lambert Collection
5:30 p.m.: Opening of the “C’est pas du luxe” Festival—Place des Corps Saints in Avignon
6:30 p.m.: Opening reception for the “Écho et Zéphyr” exhibition at the Lambert Collection, followed by a buffet and performances featuring the work “Zéphyr” by the collective.
The Collection Lambert is offering a free guided tour for families on Saturday, the 26th, at 2:00 p.m. and Sunday, the 27th, at 2:00 p.m.
