You can leave your luggage at “BS conciergerie” on rue St Michel or at the Ibis Budget center hotel on boulevard St Roch. Most museums and monuments also have luggage lockers for the duration of your visit. The Palais des Papes, for example, has a locker where you can leave your luggage during your visit.

VISIT AVIGNON- How big is Avignon?
The town’s historic center, which is on a human scale, is easy to visit on foot or by bike. Good to know: At all times, I give priority to pedestrians. Avignon’s historic center, inside the city walls, is a “zone de rencontre”, with a speed limit of 20km/h for everyone. Bicycles are allowed to ride against the flow of traffic. Only children under 8 are allowed on the sidewalk.

- How does the Avignon City Pass / Vaucluse Provence Pass work?
There are two formulas for the Avignon City Pass: 24h for €24 or 48h for €32. This city pass includes access to all monuments and museums in Avignon and Villeneuve-lez-Avignon. Once you have purchased your pass, present it at the entrance to the sites you wish to visit. Your pass is valid for the duration of your first visit. Vaucluse-Provence Passes are valid for 5, 3 or 2 days. You can spread the days you visit over a 10-day period (for example, schedule your visits on Monday, Thursday and Saturday). These Passes do not operate on a sliding timetable: 1 day of use means from morning to evening, whatever the time of activation.

The tourist train leaves from Place du Palais, just opposite the Palais des Papes. It leaves every 30 minutes and takes 45 minutes. The city tour is taken in front of the “Visite Avignon” store on cours Jean Jaurès. The tour departs every hour (except 1 p.m.) and lasts 1 hour.
