Palais des Papes, Halles and Centre Gare parking lots: more attractive rates

Since March 1, 2019, the City manages the three underground parking lots. Palais des Papes, Halles and Gare center allowing attractive tariff offers for all: Avignon residents, visitors and downtown workers.

Avignon residents: adapted subscriptions. Intra-muros, residents living in pedestrian areas (historic center) or those in the Saint-Ruf meeting zones/peaceful areas will benefit from a new subscriber rate.

Avignon residents outside the zone:significant reduction in subscriptions to the three parking lots.

Avignon non-residents:lower rates for the Palais des Papes parking lot and the Gare center. Non-Avignon residents will benefit from the same season ticket at the lowest rate (Halles parking lot).

Evening pass:The evening pass is a flat rate of €2 between 7pm and 1am (excluding July/August).

  • Evening package €2 from 7pm to 1am (excluding July/August)
  • Day rate €19,30€ (excl. July/August)

Tariffs Central Station

  • 1st ½ h free
  • First hour tariff 2.80€ (excl. July/August)
  • Evening package 2€ from 7pm to 1am (excl. July/August)
  • 3 hours free every Saturday and Sunday (excl. July/August)
  • Day tariff at 19.30€ (excluding July/August)

Oversize vehicles

It is not possible to park around the ramparts with a vehicle taller than 1.90 meters. Access to the downtown underground parking lots is also restricted to vehicles no more than 1.90 meters high.

During the day, you can park your vehicle at the Ile Piot park-and-ride facility close to the city center: this parking lot is free and guarded. From here, you can walk to the ramparts (10 minutes).
From the parking lot, free shuttle buses run regularly to the city center (except Sundays).

Overnight parking is available in a closed parking lot outside the ramparts, in the Courtine area near Avignon TGV station:

  • Esplanade Saint Bénezet (Pont d’Avignon)

Bus drop-off parking: you can drop off your customers near the Pont d’Avignon. 1st hour free, from the 2nd hour onwards: €3/hour. Free on Sundays and public holidays and from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.

  • Parking de la Foire, avenue de la Foire

Open-air, unsupervised, free bus parking, access via avenue Blanchissage.
