To celebrate his company's tenth anniversary, Xie Xin is creating two works inspired by Satie and Stravinsky. His dance, rooted in Eastern philosophy, explores the contrasts between gentleness and power.
In *Satie*, the composer revisits the *Gymnopédies* and *Gnossiennes* in a poetic atmosphere, carried by the piano and vibraphone. The Rite of Spring, more physical and intense, draws inspiration from the accidental fire that destroyed the company’s studios in Shanghai in 2023, transforming this ordeal into a gesture of resilience and renewal.
