A wild species still present in the Alps despite a past risk of extinction, the ibex also lived in the Vaucluse, as fossilized remains testify.

On display at the Requien Museum through the fall, this exhibition from the Monaco Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology—featuring large-scale photographs—offers visitors the chance to learn about this large-horned animal, which is both agile and fragile. It serves as a bridge between the past and the present, where visitors can also learn about scientific research. A free activity booklet is available at the museum’s reception desk.
