Description
Synergy Inc. “or how to mend a broken heart” is an original tragicomic dance-theater piece, co-created by Martin Harriague, choreographer and director of the Ballet de l’Opéra Grand Avignon, and Émilie Leriche, choreographer and performer.
The two dancers and choreographers know each other and have been engaged in an artistic dialogue—fueled by their respective backgrounds—for several years now. Their paths converge notably around *Crocodile*, a piece conceived by Martin Harriague in collaboration with Émilie Leriche and Ensemble O, which was presented in January 2026 at L’Autre Scène (Vedène) and awarded the Critics’ Prize for Best Performance of 2025.
Marking the first collaboration in which the two choreographers jointly developed both the concept and the choreography, *Synergy inc.* also brings together two companies—the Ballet de l’Opéra Grand Avignon and the Bühnen Bern Ballet—in a rare and unique co-production, uniting all twenty-six dancers.
The choreographic piece imagines an overzealous organization tasked with collecting the fragments of lost loves. With humor, tenderness, and a touch of the absurd, it explores broken hearts, separation, and the efforts each person is willing to make to survive and rebuild their lives.
