For four days, the historic center will host a major festival celebrating the Middle Ages. This event will be deeply rooted in the history and heritage of the City of the Popes.
It will offer a festive, family-friendly atmosphere that is accessible to everyone.
The city will welcome artists, musicians, and costumed characters. Events will take place in the streets, in the squares, and at several of Avignon’s iconic sites.
Residents and visitors will thus have the chance to discover the city from a new perspective.
The Pontificales will also aim to highlight Avignon’s exceptional heritage.
The event will be designed as a popular and unifying celebration. It will bring together culture, history, live performances, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
