Tchologo (“initiate” in the Senufo language) is a raw and soulful musical experience. Born from the collaboration between Lassina Coulibaly (vocals, percussion) and Jean-Louis Livenais (vocals, guitar), the project has, since 1996, forged a rare connection between the Senufo animist tradition and the energy of punk rock. Their common ground: a primal, visceral blues that seems to emerge from the depths of time. On stage, Tchologo unleashes a powerful trance: incantatory chants rooted in the Poro tradition, electric guitars with Sahelian influences, organic percussion, and rare instruments like the Boloye. A style of music that is both spiritual and physical, straddling the line between ritual and rock explosion.
A Senegalese artist based in Cannes since 2019, Mariaa Siga has established herself as one of the major breakthrough artists on the contemporary African scene. Winner of the Baco Records Contest, a finalist for the RFI Découvertes Award, and a prize winner at the Mondial des Femmes in Abidjan, she has established herself as a leading voice on the international scene.
