To celebrate the centennial of the premiere of Gershwin’s *Porgy and Bess*, the Jatekok Duo explores the concepts of constraints and freedom—in society, in history, and also in musical composition itself.
Intense and rich in contrast, featuring works by Touchard, Rzewski, and Zimmerli, the program is an ode to freedom, with the blues serving as its central theme.
A lively and engaging journey, true to the artistic identity of both artists: fostering dialogue between repertoires, building bridges across eras, and asserting a bold musical voice rooted in its time.
Creative Childcare
While parents enjoy the show, children ages 5 to 10 also get to experience their own afternoon at the Opera. Supervised by professionals from La Petite Académie – Avignon, they participate in a fun and creative art workshop.
