    Continue on to Place des Corps-Saints, surrounded by lively bistros and restaurants around a picturesque fountain. The Church and Cloister of the Célestins, dating from the 14th and 15th centuries, offer an immersion in exceptional medieval architecture.

    Continue along the Rue des Lices, built on the site of the 12th-13th century ramparts, and discover the Rue des Teinturiers, lined with 19th-century paddlewheels, theaters, bookshops and lively restaurants.

    Explore the 14th-century Chapelle des Cordeliers, supposed resting place of Petrarch's beloved Laure. Continue on to the chapelle des Pénitents Gris, witness to the annual miracle of the separation of the waters.

    Discover Maison IV de Chiffre, one of Avignon's last Gothic houses, before immersing yourself in history at Hôtel de Montaigu, a 17th-century building housing the Maison des Compagnons.

    The walk then takes you to the charming Place Pignotte, where 17th- and 18th-century chapels add to the enchanting atmosphere. Explore the Place des Carmes, then contemplate the bell tower of the Couvent des Augustins, the only vestige of a 14th-century building.
