The Race of the City of the Popes

Starting from the Société Nautique d’Avignon rowing center, two distances will be offered: 5 km and 10 km, on a course through the countryside that winds around Europe’s largest river island. Flat and rolling, the course is certified and counts toward qualification for the French championships in both distances. This should attract runners looking to set personal bests as well as those who simply want to take part in a unique setting, nestled between the Rhône River and Avignon’s historic landmarks.
