In the heart of the Alpilles mountains, just a stone's throw from the village of Les Baux-de-Provence, the Carrières de Lumières host shows featuring a concept that integrates digital images and music for an immersive journey through the masterpieces of great artists.
From January 31, 2025 Les Carrières des Lumières present two new immersive exhibitions:
- Monet, impression, soleil levant": Echoing the 150th anniversary of Impressionism, this monograph offers an audacious reading of Claude Monet's work, including his travels, his now-famous creative locations and his emblematic series, all brought to life through the prism of digital art.
- Le Douanier Rousseau, au pays des rêves" (Douanier Rousseau, in dreamland): a tour of the first steps of naive art in France. Dreamlike, sometimes childlike, this new approach to painting is embodied in the works of Henri Rousseau.
