Covid 19 devices - What is the current situation in Avignon?
WEARING A MASK
Since March 14, 2022 the mask is no longer mandatory except:
- in public transport (bus, metro, plane, train)
- in health facilities
The obligation to wear a mask does not apply:
- children under 6 years old
- people with disabilities with a medical certificate
HEALTH PASS AND VACCINATION PASS:
Since March 14, the vaccination pass is no longer necessary in all places (restaurants, bars, nightclubs, cinemas, theaters, performance halls, stadiums, fairs and exhibitions, interregional transport, etc.) where it was required.
On the other hand, the “sanitary pass” remains in force at the entrance to hospitals, retirement homes and establishments for the disabled.
What is the health pass and how do I get it?
The health pass consists of the presentation of health proof, among the following three:
- a vaccination certificate
- a negative PCR or antigen test certificate of less than 24 hours. Self-tests carried out under the supervision of a healthcare professional are also accepted.
- a certificate of recovery (positive PCR or antigen test for more than 11 days and less than 4 months).
Where can I get vaccinated in Avignon?
Departmental Vaccination Center: Annex Town Hall of the North Quarter, located Avenue Boccace.
Open two days a week, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., it will welcome people wishing to be vaccinated (1st, second, or booster dose), with or without an appointment.
In the case of appointments, these can be made on the maiia.com platform.
The vaccine used by the departmental vaccination center is Pfizer and pediatric doses of Vaccine Pfizer will be available for children aged 5 to 11 years.

From February 1, 2021, Grand Avignon and Orizo are setting up a new transport service to the vaccination centers in Grand Avignon
This service transports people from their homes to the vaccination centers in Grand Avignon by small shuttles by reservation on 0800 456 456.
How it works ?
As soon as the vaccination appointment has been confirmed, the person can call 0800 456 456 (free toll-free number from a landline or mobile) to book their ALLOBUS Vaccination service.
Reservations can be made up to 2 hours before the trip and can be made up to 6 weeks after, for the appointment of the 2nd injection.
The hostess will indicate the round trip meeting time.
It is planned to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the vaccination appointment and return 45 minutes after.
The price is the price of the 1-trip ticket, i.e. € 1.40 per trip, or € 2.80 for the round trip, on sale with the driver and on the orizo app. Authorized guide and free for the elderly or people with reduced mobility.
The service operates by reservation from Monday to Saturday (excluding public holidays) and adapts to the opening hours of vaccination centers in Greater Avignon.
The Allobus standard is accessible Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
