The OFF Festival

The Southern Region is setting up bus and train services to make it easy for you to get to the Avignon Festival.

NIGHT TIMETABLE
For the return journey, last train departure to Arles or Carpentras (by bus), every evening during the festival: 23h30. Last departure to Cavaillon: 23:26 (except Sundays for which departures are at 23:29 or 23:40 depending on the day) and to Orange: 23:29.

Agents will be present on board the trains and in the stations for a worry-free return.

The Southern Region is also putting in place bus and train services to get you easily to the Chorégies d’Orange or the Rencontres d’Arles: getting to the must-see events by bus or train has never been easier!

The buzz of a cultural offer The cultural abundance is everywhere and the “good deals” on shows are exchanged on the terraces of the cafés and restaurants that are springing up all over the city. It has to be said that the Festival d’Avignon’s turbulent little brother, the OFF, created in 1966 by André Benedetto in his theatre on the Place des Carmes, is just as busy. Born of a spontaneous desire to share theatre with as many people as possible outside of an established programme, the OFF companies from all over the world literally melt into the city. From 10 a.m. to midnight, in hundreds of different venues, they play, dance, sing, recite… If the IN is the beating heart of the Festival, the OFF is undoubtedly the one that sets the city’s tempo!
