It’s impossible to miss: the Palais des Papes is the beating heart of Avignon!
A place steeped in history, the monumental residence of the Popes, symbol of the influence of the Church on the Christian West in the 14th century, is the largest Gothic palace in the world! Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is one of the 10 most visited monuments in France.

The Cour d’Honneur is one of the most emblematic venues of the Avignon Festival. Every year in July at nightfall, and since 1947, shows are presented there. A magical experience!

⚠️ Work in progress, reopening planned for 2027

This English-style garden, set on the rock overlooking the Palais des Papes, rises 30 metres above the Rhône and offers a magnificent panoramic view of the old town, monuments and landscapes from the Rhône plain to Mont Ventoux.
A haven of freshness with a lake where ducks and swans splash about, it’s the perfect place for a bucolic break.
It’s also a children’s paradise with two play areas (slides, swing, etc.) and small wooden horses.
