Description
Jean-François Salieri uses Light as a medium for creating atmospheres with a strong capacity for wonder
He creates dynamic panoramas composed of shifting, colorful forms, like so many windows opening onto imaginary horizons.
The artiste explores the universe of optics—immaterial and sensitive, both strange and marvelous—creating abstract stage-like spaces where rapture, surprise, illusion, and contemplation unfold in turn. Its practice leads him to the place where images are born: an uncertain space partly made of matter, light, and vibrations, and partly of our own projections, as the mind captures here and there a nebula, a monster, a twilight.
It is about experiencing a singular perceptual encounter, a suspended moment in time, temporarily setting aside our certainties about the world around us.
