Surface parking
Intramural parking (“orange zone”):
1,816 spaces available, including 93 for PRMs
Pay parking from 9am to 7pm non-stop, Monday to Saturday (except Sundays and public holidays)
Limited to 4 hours all year round.
Extramural parking (“yellow zone”):
Pay parking from 9am to 12pm and from 2pm to 7pm Monday to Saturday (except Sundays and public holidays)
Limited to 5 hours from 01/09 to 30/06 (annual rate)
Limited to 4 hours from 01/07 to 31/08 (summer rate).
Parking in PRM spaces in the streets of Avignon is free on presentation of the CMI Stationnement card.
Some forty dedicated spaces are available in the city centre, including two near the Tourist Office.
All you need to do is pick up a free parking ticket at a pay and display machine or on the Pay by Phone application and affix the original CMI Stationnement card to the windscreen.

Park-and-ride facilities
Thanks to the Park & Ride sites, traffic jams and parking problems are a thing of the past!
Park in one of the 5 park-and-ride sites and take the bus, tram or shuttle to Avignon city centre. The Orizo network has 150 accessible stops, which are listed on the itinerary section of the www.orizo.fr website .
P+R Italiens – avenue des Italiens: 1,454 free spaces (including 25 PRM and 4 electric vehicles), served free of charge by the CityZen Italiens. Shuttle accessible to people with reduced mobility.
P+R Piot – route de l’Islon: 1,100 free spaces (including 22 PRM), served free of charge by the P1 shuttle bus (P+R Piot<>Porte de l’Oulle) and also by line 20 (network fares). Bus accessible to people with reduced mobility.
P+R Courtine – rue Jean-Marie Tjibaou: 400 free spaces, served by lines 10, 20 and 30 (network fares).
P+R Agroparc – chemin des Félons: 320 free spaces (including 8 PRM and 4 electric vehicles), served by lines C3, 4, 13, 22 (network pricing).
P+R St Chamand – avenue Pierre de Coubertin: 360 spaces (including 8 PRM and 5 electric vehicles). Pay car park / free depending on conditions. Served by lines T1, C3, 12, 14, 22, 30.
Oversize vehicles
It is not possible to park around the ramparts with a vehicle over 1.90 metres high. Access to the underground car parks in the city centre is also restricted to vehicles no more than 1.90 metres high.
If you’re coming to Avignon in a camper van: There are reception and parking areas for campervans and minivans on the Ile de la Barthelasse opposite Avignon on the Rhône, just a few minutes’ walk from the city centre. The Ile Piot car park (+ 2.60 m) and the Parking des Italiens (+ 2.60 m) are reserved exclusively for day parking.
For overnight parking, you can park your vehicle in a closed car park located outside the ramparts, in the Courtine area near Avignon TGV station:

Drop-off bus parking: you can drop off your customers near the Pont d’Avignon. 1st hour free, from the 2nd hour onwards: €3/hour. Free on Sundays and public holidays and from 8pm to 8am.Bus regulations on the Saint Bénézet esplanade:
– From 1 July 2025, parking is regulated: stopping and parking are prohibited, except for tourist buses, for which the parking limit is 30 minutes (the driver is asked to affix a visible parking disc showing the time of arrival).
– Long-term parking (more than 30 minutes) is recommended on Ile Piot, and a signposted route will be set up from the Pont de l’Europe. - Parking de la Foire, avenue de la Foire
Possibility of parking in the bus park, in the open air, unsupervised, free of charge, access via avenue Blanchissage.
Cycle parking facilities
Avignon provides 3,300 cycle parking spaces, including more than a thousand in the historic centre. Twenty or so cycle racks are available in the immediate vicinity of the Avignon Tourist Office.
Several of Avignon’s multi-storey car parks have space reserved for bicycles. Please contact them to check availability.

No luggage size requirements, however only bags and suitcases are accepted. You may be asked to open your luggage and show proof of identity. You will be given a ticket for each item of luggage. You will need this ticket to collect your luggage. Bicycle lockers are not available.
Prices (subject to change): €2 per item of luggage for 24 hours.
