The only international rope rescue competition held in France, this event will see 12 elite teams (firefighters and specialized technicians) from France, Belgium, Spain, the UK and Portugal compete.
Teams will be confronted with 7 scenarios and a surprise test, during which they will have to apply all their skills (tactical and material choices, victim care and conditioning, team management, etc.).
This competition will require solid technical skills and endurance on the part of the teams. We really want to highlight all the qualities that a team needs to perform a rescue sequence. Each team member will need to be at ease with rope climbing techniques, setting up and mastering the chosen devices.
Teams will be assessed on both their technical rope skills and their handling of the victim.
We want this event to be as diverse as possible in terms of the teams' origins (sectors of activity, nationality, gender mix, etc.), because over and above the competition, this event is also a fabulous opportunity for exchange and sharing.
The 2026 edition will take place in the cities of Avignon and Orange, and will feature scenarios set against some of France's most beautiful monuments.
