After recording them in 2022, mezzo-soprano Aude Extrémo, musical director Débora Waldman and the Orchestre national Avignon-Provence bring us three little-known works by composer Charlotte Sohy.
Around the amorous Trois chants nostalgiques and the two melodies Les Trois Anges and Ton Âme, rarely performed in concert, the orchestra and mezzo-soprano summon the music of Mahler, in particular his Chants d'un compagnon errant (Songs of a Wandering Companion), which inspired the Austrian to write the melody for the original, and ultimately withdrawn, second part of his First Symphony. A pastoral page in dialogue with Mozart's most beautiful and glorious, his divine Symphony no. 41, known as "Jupiter".
