Printemps des Poètes is an annual cultural event that celebrates poetry through a variety of events, readings and performances, and takes place every year in March.
The next edition will take place from March 9 to 31, 2026, with the theme "Freedom. Force vive, déployée".
In Avignon, this event is particularly rich, with a varied program that includes workshops, readings, shows and meetings.
Isabelle Adjani is the patron of this year's event.
"Thought, graphite and the keyboard are, in themselves, a poetic thread, a narrative thread. A thread that unfolds, every day, on the page - inside, in cellulose or virtual. Of course, to begin with, you have to scrape away the first layer, the false white; for some, formatted ideas, for others, fear, and for many of us, both. And the thread unwinds, free. This freedom is, as we all know, the propellant of life. It is its beating heart. In its absence, life freezes and shatters. For it is from the heart that human beings freeze before they disintegrate.
So let's unroll this free thread against the shadow-makers who teach us how to wall ourselves in, how to evict, and how to hum the machines programmed to run at full speed in the endless space of pain. Against the language of wood that paralyzes and the gag buried deep in the throat. Against collective amnesia and recut history. Against the rigid blades of corsets that bruise bodies and impede movement. Against disassociation. Unwind the thread of freedom."
This event is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate poetry and discover new talent in a rich and inspiring cultural setting.
