Maison 1844 is a prestigious company that celebrates excellence in craftsmanship. It relies on ancestral know-how whose expertise has earned it the prestigious Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) label.
This label reflects La Maison 1844's commitment to preserving and passing on rare artisanal techniques, while continuing to innovate while respecting the traditions for which it is renowned.

For over 150 years, men and women in the Vaucluse region, a land of confectioners, have been making delicious sweet treats. Founded in the heart of the Vaucluse region, 1844 confectionery continues this tradition.
A force of tradition, Maison 1844 is an artisanal, family-run confectionery based in Provence at the foot of the Ventoux mountains. This gourmet landmark, where people come to indulge in a slice of sweetness, is well deserving of its success.

Born in the Vaucluse region, Confiserie 1844 is a traditional, local company offering exceptional sweets. Since the end of 2018, it has been committed to an eco-responsible approach.

On the website and in their boutique accessible to all, you'll find their delicious handcrafted bonbons d'Antan made by the Master Confectioner, Michael, with ingredients exclusively from natural origins. He carefully selects his raw materials from local farmers (Strawberries and Apricots from Provence, Melon from Cavaillon, Chestnuts from Ardèche...) giving his sweets a real taste of fruit.

This waltz of sweets: candies, lollipops, fruit pastes and other delicacies, calls on cutting-edge technical knowledge and special know-how, plunging you deliciously into your fondest childhood memories.

We invite you to visit the boutique de Fabrique, where you'll discover one of France's oldest sweets, the "berlingot de Carpentras", and all the other confectionery we make (lollipops, fruit jellies, caramel au lait, syrup...), with explanations and commentary (from the glass roof).
Plus a video, scent workshop, tastings and stories...
Choose the morning to discover how our confectioners make their products, and experience a return to childhood!
For groups of 15 or more, guided tours are available by prior arrangement. Please contact us for details.
