Since January 2020, the Tourist Offices of Avignon and Greater Avignon – located on the ViaRhôna itinerary – have been awarded the Accueil Vélo label. We offer a warm welcome to our cycle-touring visitors, and a number of specific free services! We provide a free repair kit and pump in the Tourist Office. We welcome any comments and suggestions you may have about our services for cycle tourists and the infrastructure in and around Avignon, so that we can improve our welcome for cycle tourists around Avignon. Avignon, the former city of the Popes and capital of the Côtes du Rhône, is an essential stop-off point on the ViaRhôna before reaching the sea. The city’s exceptional historic center is home to a number of UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the famous Palais des Papes and Pont d’Avignon. * Batteries are not kept at the Tourist Office outside business hours.
