Ombres et Légendes - self-guided nocturnal tour of the Popes'Palace

In an intimate atmosphere, visitors are invited to rediscover the emblematic monument through an immersive journey, punctuated by scenographic lighting and sound effects inspired by the voices of Ars Nova.
A number of areas, usually closed to visitors, will be exceptionally open to the public for the occasion, revealing the secrets of a fascinating, little-known palace.
This nocturnal stroll will also be punctuated by a filmed reading of an extract from Charles Dickens' Carnets du voyageur, performed by the Il va sans dire company.
Visitors are invited to discover the Grande Audience, the Escaliers d'Honneur, the Loggia, the Grande Chapelle, where Jean-Michel Othoniel's monumental work "Cosmos" can be admired, as well as areas usually closed to the public: the Galerie du Conclave, the Chambre aux quatre fenêtres, the impressive Salle du Conclave, the Galerie supérieure du Cloître, and finally the Grand Tinel and the Cloître Benoit XII.
Each space will be specially illuminated and designed to create an immersive atmosphere, combining history and imagination.
