As part of Avignon, Terre de culture, C'est pas du luxe joins forces with São Paulo's Festival Pop Rua for a unique and joyful creation, celebrating our pride and encouraging collective dance.
Choreographer Marinette Dozeville has imagined a dance parade in the public space, the fruit of a year-long series of workshops and residencies with associations working to combat extreme poverty.
Accompanied by Brazilian musician Morris Picciotto and costume designer Colombe Lauriot-Prévost, they showcase the beauty and diversity of bodies inspired by Brazilian carnivals.
The project invites everyone to join in the dance and join the chorus of amateur dancers present.
