In summer 2025, the Museum will take on Proustian accents with an exhibition devoted to Jacques-Émile Blanche, portraitist of the great artists of the early 20th century, as well as writer, critic, musician and memoirist.
A contemporary and friend of Marcel Proust, Jacques-Émile Blanche was a key figure of the Belle-Epoque and post-war eras, painting the Parisians and Londoners as well as the artistic elite and avant-garde of his time.
Among the hundreds of personalities who posed for him: Proust, Nijinsky, Cocteau, Stravinsky...
Under his brush, a whole era comes to life.
A spark of time regained.
