In 1963, Luciano Berio arranged, orchestrated and recomposed eleven traditional songs from France, Italy, Armenia, Azerbaijan and the United States. His Folks Songs became a veritable musical "hit" of the second half of the 20th century.
Inspired by this quest to unite folk music and contemporary creation, Ensemble 44 offers a show that weaves a continuous thread between Folk Songs, four pieces by Elisabeth Angot of varying sizes, and traditional music from different parts of the world (India, Eastern Europe...).
