The Benedictine abbey was built in the 10th century near the
tomb of Saint Casarie (5th century). The buildings, rebuilt in the
17th and 18th centuries, were partially destroyed after the French
Revolution.
Rosebushes and century-old olive trees grow amidst
pools and vestiges of Romanesque churches. Magnificent terraces
provide sweeping views that take in the Dentelles de Montmirail,
Mont-Ventoux, the Luberon, Avignon and the Palais des Papes.
