Avignon in July

Notre-Dame des Doms

The Basilique Métropolitaine Notre-Dame des Doms overlooks the Rhône valley from the Rocher des Doms, alongside the Palais des Papes. Its bell tower is topped by a magnificent golden Virgin Mary.

Le Rocher des Doms

The cradle of the town, the Rocher des Doms and its garden rise 30 metres above the Rhône.

Rue des Teinturiers

Nicknamed “the street of wheels”, it is the most picturesque street in the city of the Popes, and the busiest during the Festival.

The ramparts

4.3 km long, these UNESCO World Heritage-listed walls encircle the old town, giving it a privileged, timeless atmosphere.

Les Halles

A true landmark of the local area, the Halles market is renowned for the quality of its products in the heart of the City of Popes.
