Curiosity, source of doubt and questioning but above all a forrmidable driving force for research, will be the common thread running through the 2024 summer exhibition at the Musée Angladon - Collection Jacques Doucet, from 6 June to 3 November.

For curator Lauren Laz it's a necessity, inextricably connected to the museum's vocation: ceaselelssly expand our knowledge of what the museum holds.
This drive has led the museum team to revisit all the collections, to question the storerooms, to reopen the armoires and drawers of this home which preserves a heritage built up by several generations of collectors: Jacques Doucet (1853-1929), the great couturier-collector of the Belle Epoque, Léon Dubrujeaud (1845-1920) his father-in-law,...For curator Lauren Laz it's a necessity, inextricably connected to the museum's vocation: ceaselelssly expand our knowledge of what the museum holds.
This drive has led the museum team to revisit all the collections, to question the storerooms, to reopen the armoires and drawers of this home which preserves a heritage built up by several generations of collectors: Jacques Doucet (1853-1929), the great couturier-collector of the Belle Epoque, Léon Dubrujeaud (1845-1920) his father-in-law, then Jean Angladon (1906-1979) Doucet's grand-nephew and his spouse Paulette Martin (1905-1988) who were both artists in Avignon. Between them they assembled a collection of over a thousand works and objects.
Treasures which reveal the artist's eye at work and take the public along a path of vagabond curiosity.
This exhibition unveils essential facets of this ongoing curiosity.
