  • Dive into the world of the Castelain chocolate factory, at the heart of the vineyards of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

  • The chocolate factory is open to the public all through the year, with video projections (in F, GB, D, NL, I) and visits with commentary, workshops and themed courses.
    All through the year, free of charge:

    - a glimpse into the manufacturing workshops through large windows

    - Video projection about the history of chocolate and cacao farming (duration 25 minutes, EN, F, GB, D, NL, I)
    - a glimpse into the manufacturing workshops through large windows
    - visit to the 250 m2 “Gourmet & Gourmand” shop: chocolates, sale direct from the workshops and tastings of our specialities: the Palet des Papes & La Picholine. Specialities and products from Provence (nougat, calissons, tapenade, candied fruits, syrups). Wines and alcohols, a selection of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes du Rhône, Côtes du Ventoux wines, natural sweet wines, Provençal liqueurs.
    Visit with commentary to the manufacturing workshops: 1/2 hour visit (with tasting) to get to know the secrets of creating a traditional chocolate and to understand the different stages in its development. Every day at 3 p.m. for individual visitors and by appointment for groups. Prices: €4.50 for individual visitors (for groups by appointment, please contact us), free for children under 12. Quotations available for group visits with commentary.
    The Chocolate Workshops (for individual visitors and groups of 5 to 15 people.)
    Learn how to make your own chocolates, with 2 hours of sweetness to enjoy without moderation in company with a master chocolate maker. You can take away your own creation with you. Prices on request.
    Themed courses (groups of 10 to 25 people).
    A 45-minute introduction to choose from the following themes:
    Introduction to chocolate varieties, the history of chocolate, wine and chocolate matching, or wine and spices.
    Incentive games, blind tastings, quiz, etc. Reservation required. Quotation available for the chosen theme on request. You can round off your visit by a tasty break at the Chocolate Bar with a hot chocolate and sweets (menu and prices on site).
